Free Download Awara 1951 Songs: Awara was released in the year 1951, was directed and produced by Late Raj Kapoor. Raj Kapoor’s Grand Father Dewan Bashwanath Kapoor, Father Prithiviraj Kapoor and younger broher Shashi Kapoor played roles in the movie. Dewan Bashwanath played a cameo role and his only film appearance. Nargis played the leading female part along with Raj Kapoor.

The music was composed by Shankar Jaikishan, and the playback given by Lata Mangeshkar, Mohd.Rafi, Mukesh and Shamshad Begum. The song “Awara Hoon” (I am a Tramp) sung by Mukesh with lyrics by Shailendra became hugely popular across the Indian SubContinent, in the then USSR (Soviet Union), China, Turkey, Afghanistan and in Romania.

The Film was nominated for the Grand Prize of the Cannes Film Festival in the year 1953.
